November 11, 2015~

Well, glad to say I am back! After a brief hiatus, and forgetting to renew my website in August, everything comes together at last.

Please stay tuned as I have lots of images appearing on Sports Illustrated, football cards, etc.

Lots of excitement, and stories,  to follow.

Thanks for your patience and I will try to be more diligent with updates. – psb

November 11, 2014~

Attended the Wisconsin State Volleyball tournament on Friday evening (November 7, 2014) and covered the Waupun Warriors.  Always high expectations for Waupun when I make the trip to State which takes place at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Tough match as Tomahawk defeated Waupun in four sets, 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, 25-20.

“I think that we didn’t come out as strong as we should have,” said senior Blake Buchholz, who had a Division 2 state game record 28 kills in a match that covered four sets. “We played our hearts out and it showed. I couldn’t be more proud of my team right now, we did as much as we could.”

“It was a tough Tomahawk team, we knew that they were going to be a tough team,” Waupun co-coach Krista Baisch said. “I thought that we didn’t play to our level that we needed to play to. I don’t think Tomahawk beat us tonight, I think we beat ourselves.”

“There were a few moments in the match where we could see us coming alive but then it just went away,” Baisch said.

Going into the game, Waupun knew that Anna Nyberg and Hanna Meyer were going to be tough. The duo combined for 33 kills.

“They are great left sides, but once we figured out how to block them, I thought we shut them down pretty well,” Baisch said.

Stats: WAU — Blake Buchholz 28 kills, 18 digs, 2 aces; Claiborn Bronkhorst 11 kills; Taylor Brown 18 digs; Jasmyn Bensley 10 digs; Kyra Verheyen 38 assists, 9 digs.

September 11, 2014 Memories

September 11, 2001 ~
I was in the midst of a great relationship, new job, loving life, then the planes hit the towers. Thirteen years doesn’t seem like a long time but just when you think you have the world by the tail reality sets in. Enjoy what you have while you have it. Share love with the ones who mean the most to you. It can all be gone before you know it.

And this>
“He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much;
Who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children;
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
Who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it;
Who has left the world better than he found it,
Whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
Who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had;
Whose life was an inspiration;
Whose memory a benediction.”
