Continental Flight 3407, operated by Colgan Airlines, was enroute from Newark NJ to Buffalo NY when it crashed at about 10:20 p.m. Eastern time today (February 12, 2009) and reports are there are no survivors from the crash.
There were 44 passengers and 4 crew members on board. The crew included two pilots and two attendants. Early reports indicate another person was killed on the ground.

Sleet and rain was falling at the time of the crash and may have been a factor in the crash.
A witness reported hearing a high pitched squeal before the crash and other witnesses report the plane being in flames before hitting the ground.

Antigo defeats Rhinelander 137.3 to 117.0 in the last home meet of the year for Antigo.
